ADVANCED STYLE.…………..a captivating documentary opened last night in New York City. New York Magazine calls it “CHARMING”. Ari Seth Cohen is the photographer……who discovered these elderly ladies on the streets on New York.
Seven New York women are featured in this film…………all of them making intense fashion statements.
You can catch the film at the QUAD CINEMA on East 13th street in the Village.
Tziporah Salamon ……is the baby of the group at 62……..who bicycles about town showing off her fabulous fashion.
Joyce Karpati with her silver braid and pearls.

Ilona Royce-Smithkin..with her orange hair and her 2″ long orange eyelashes is a “star”.
DEBORAH RAPAPORT who make her own jewelry and hats…..
JACQUI “Tajah” MURDOCK………a model for Lanvin….at age 82……and a former dancer at the APOLLO THEATRE when she was 17.
ZELDA KAPLAN……….dead at 95.……….recently passed away while sitting in the front row at a runway show at Lincoln Center during Fashion Week.
